fudgester, I won't be able to lie that way. Your friend can wrap
it up nicely all he likes but a lie remains a lie. Engaging in word
play and then claiming innocence later by saying that you did not
guarantee that you can work till that period but that you THINK you
can doesn't absolve you from deceit because the intention remains
precisely that, deceitful.
Sadly, nowadays, a lot of people put self-interest above such
little nuggets of moral value. They'll say things like you have to
protect yourself, everyone's doing it, etc but at the end of the
day, if your conscience is strong, (and congratulations if it is!
) then you won't feel good about yourself for
having done such a thing.
The fact that you're asking already shows us that it's not the path
